La beca ha sido otorgada a una estudiante de la Universidad de Chulalongkorn por un proyecto sobre bacterias aisladas en problemas hep\u00e1ticos en avicultura encontrados en Tailandia.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto se desarrollar\u00e1 y llevar\u00e1 a cabo en las instalaciones de la universidad tailandesa a partir del mes de agosto. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, la incidencia de enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas causadas por bacterias se ha incrementado debido a la limitaci\u00f3n del uso de antibi\u00f3ticos. Seg\u00fan profesores de la Universidad de Chulalongkorn \u2018el a\u00f1o pasado se notificaron enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas reemergentes, como la enfermedad hep\u00e1tica irregular en gallinas ponedoras causada por <em>Campylobacter hepaticus<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el trabajo estudiar\u00e1 las principales bacterias que causan da\u00f1os hep\u00e1ticos en granjas aviares de Tailandia como por ejemplo <em>Salmonella, Clostridium, E. coli, Shigella o Streptococcus<\/em>, entre otros, para ver las posibles soluciones que se pueden aplicar.<\/p>\n<p>La beca tendr\u00e1 una duraci\u00f3n de un a\u00f1o y los resultados ser\u00e1n presentados en el mes de junio de 2020. Esta es la primera convocatoria que realiza la Fundaci\u00f3n Vallbo que se fund\u00f3 en enero de 2019.
